As an International Baccalaureate World School, we offer a constructivist framework to help our students' learning translate into taking action!
What is the Primary Years Programme?
Taken from the International Baccalaureate website, the PYP offers an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary curriculum framework that builds conceptual understanding. It is a student-centered approach to education for children aged 3-12. It reflects the best of educational research, thought leadership and experience derived from IB World Schools.
This framework emphasizes and ensures that students are active partners in their own learning, and that, as appropriate and possible, they are given agency while they use their initiative to take responsibility and ownership of their learning. Students work through our Program of Inquiry to understand concepts, gain and develop knowledge and skills, and understand and apply the attributes of the I.B. Learner Profile to reach their fullest potential and make a difference in their communities and the world.
